David Nugent was studying psychology at Southern Connecticut State College in the mid-1970’s when he drifted into the art department and found his true passion. He and Cynthia Marble officially started their jewelry making business in 1977. They named their business Evensong because they felt it expresses the “feeling of flowing elegance” they strive to manifest in all their work.
They handcraft sterling silver and 14 K and 18 K yellow, white and rose gold jewelry accented with precious and semi-precious stones. David and his team do every step of the creation process from the original design, forging, fabrication and lost-wax casting to the finishing polish in house.
Cynthia works as a psychotherapist but contributes to the jewelry making business as well. Their studio sits near the Connecticut River in rural southern New Hampshire.
