Q. Miller Handmade Jewelry is testament to the fact that Sugarloaf Craft Festivals truly draw artists from far and wide. Based in Bozeman, Mont., Q. Miller jewelry was founded by designer and artist Marcia Q. Miller but is now primarily operated by Marcia’s daughter Callie Miller. Q. Miller designs are known for their primitive aesthetic and are inspired by the shapes and imagery that pre-dated modern language and text. Because of this, all Q. Miller pieces have a distinctly down-to-earth and rustic feel.
Family-owned Q. Miller Handmade Jewelry primarily works in mixed metals, soldering shaped red brass, sterling and copper wire onto sheet pewter, and then hand-stamping the surface with small symbols. The pieces are then polished to a high gloss and embellished with semi-precious stones, glass and metal beads. You can view Q. Miller jewelry, brooches, hair pieces, cufflinks, and belt buckles at an upcoming Sugarloaf Craft Festival throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
