Ping Guo and her team create embroidered silk portraits of such exquisite quality that they are sometimes mistaken for photographs.
For generations, Ping Guo’s family has practiced a 2000 year old Chinese art form which uses fine silk thread to create elaborate images. Each work of art contains countless strands of fine silk thread expertly woven into stunning landscapes, wildlife and botanical designs.
These highly skilled artisans weave with such meticulous skill that a casual observer may not detect the strands fiber embedded in the image.
