Ann and Daniel Trudel met as college students during a spring break in Daytona Beach, FL. After they married and settled down, Ann continued her mother and grandmother’s summer tradition of making raspberry jam from fresh raspberries.
When they moved to rural Ohio and bought a house with 5 acres, Daniel and his son planted scores of raspberry bushes. Contrary to expectations, their early harvests were super abundant! Ann had way more raspberries than she could use and began selling fresh berries and raspberry jam at local farmers markets.
The Trudel farm was Certified Naturally Grown in 2004 and they’ve been serving up Red Raspberry Jam, Raspberry Blossom Honey, Pickled Brussel Sprouts and Savory Brussel Sprout Relish ever since.
Their preserves and pickles have received numerous awards and acclaim in Central Ohio. In 2014, Ann was chosen as a delegate to attend the Terra Madre Worldwide Food Conference in Turin, Italy.
