Robert Trisko earned undergraduate degrees in mathematics and art from St. Cloud State University. His ‘wearable sculpture’ designs spring from his synergy of artistic insight and mathematical ability.
He began his professional career teaching art and math in St. Cloud, MN schools while selling his art at local fairs and craft shows on the side. After winning high honors at a national competition in the early 1980’s, he realized he could earn a living as a full time artist and he left teaching.
Inspired by the architecture features such as Gothic cathedrals and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Water home, Robert added a sculptural dimension to his jewelry designs.
He experimented with different ring designs, trading the standard round band for trapezoid, oval and square shapes.
His “Stackables” line features ring designs that combine multiple rings into one bold piece. Check out Robert’s remarkable jewelry designs at this season’s Sugarloaf Crafts Festivals.
