Heidi Skillman got the idea for her signature product, The 360 Scarf, during the winter of 2003 when she needed a better way to stay warm while walking her dogs on cold Chicago days. She created a compact, elegant scarf that complements a professional business wardrobe and protects the wearer’s neck and chest in frigid weather without a lot of bulky fabric.
Once she designed The 360 Scarf, she found a ready market for it. She called on her previous business experience in corporate finance, strategy and supply chain management to create her own winter accessory business.
Her scarves are made with soft mohair, silk, ultra suede and other fabrics. They are reversible with solid black fleece on the second side to make it easy to match any outfit. And when the scarf is not needed, it can easily fit in a purse or pocket.
Due to customer demand she has added matching hats, gloves, faux fur mufflets, headbands, boot cuffs, ponchos and capes. The boot cuffs are some of her best selling items.
