Lynnette Shelley’s mixed media paintings stem from her fascination with animals, icons and archetypes. She fills her paintings with images of endangered and extinct species as well as exotic animals to remind us of our impact on the environment and to appreciate the wonderful panorama of earth’s inhabitants, past and present.
Her artwork has appeared in the Nemours duPont Pediatrics facility (NJ) and in public arts programs in Philadelphia and West Chester, PA.
When not creating fine art, Shelley writes and performs with The Red Masque, a progressive rock band she co-founded in 2001. She also sings with the group Green Cathedral which released their first album in 2017.
