Timothy Shanley began his painting career creating faux finishes on luxury properties in Westchester County, NY. Encouraged by his wife, who is an architect, he began visiting museums and galleries and attending lectures at Brooklyn’s Pratt Institute.
Timothy’s mother had discouraged him from pursuing an art career in his youth. But her sudden death in a car accident caused him to reflect on his life goals and return to creating fine art. After his mother’s passing, he felt an inexplicable surge of creativity come over him.
Today, Timothy lives and works in his native Pennsylvania creating brightly colored whimsical images of animals, volkswagen buses, beach scenes and other light hearted imagery.
