An Iowa native, Aaron Moseley served as a resident artist at the Iowa Ceramic Center and Glass Studio where he worked with wood and soda firing techniques. Later, he relocated to Floyd, VA to apprentice with potter, Ellen Shankin.
Aaron enjoys the interplay of opposing forces at work in the creation of wheel thrown pottery. He finds a certain satisfaction in creating something through such an unpredictable medium.
Wood and soda firing remains his preferred method, also because of its unpredictable effect.
