With degrees in zoology and botany, Christopher McBride is an informed photographer of the natural world. He handcrafts his own wooden frames using carefully selected domestic hardwoods and old-fashioned joinery techniques.
Living in the peaceful atmosphere of rural Vermont, Christopher pursues many creative endeavors. In addition to photography and woodcrafting, he is a skilled sleight of hand magician and maple syrup bottler.
Years ago, he worked for the Peace Corp, taught high school science and worked for the U.S. Forestry Service. He has traveled around the world, cycled across Canada and the U.S. and acted as a natural history guide in many countries.
