“While in art school, I felt like I was in heaven. I truly found my calling.” — LeAnne Marquis

LeAnne Marquis owner of LeAnne Marquis Jewelry received her BFA from the University of Hartford, Hartford Art School and has stayed true to her passion for fine art through painting and the art of jewelry making. Marquis creates unique designs in a variety of organic shapes and colors that range from vibrant to earthy. The gemstones used in her jewelry are handpicked for their beauty and uniqueness. A design may originate from the inspiration of a gemstone or a simple organic shape. “My latest pieces are created using a torch to heat-treat copper to the point of achieving stunning color. I call this process "fire painting" which feels to me like painting on canvas, and the colors achieved blow me away. Each piece is designed and handcrafted by me and each one an individual work of wearable art.”

Marquis has been a featured jewelry artist in galleries in New York, Annapolis and Easton, MD, and her jewelry has also been featured in several publications, including Just Jewelry in 2010 by New Art Review, a juried art publication featuring new and emerging talent, Rochester Magazine, Syracuse Wedding Magazine, and ROC Living and Central New York — The Good Life Magazine representing Skaneateles Artisans.

She travels with her husband to many art shows throughout the country exhibiting and selling her pieces.
