Susan Kellogg studied art at Long Island University on an art scholarship before holding a number of positions in the arts. She lives in upstate New York in the region that was once a leading producer of leather and leather goods. Several mills in the area still produce some of the best quality leather available anywhere.
Susan and her sister, who works with her, grew up watching their mother and grandmother support themselves through sewing.
At Cimarron’s Handbags, the sisters create fashionable, functional designs influenced by Susan’s dual passions for horses and fly fishing.
