For Paul Grecian, photographing the natural world is a meditative process. He wants to capture the feelings of fulfillment and grounding he derives from nature. In his words, “I enjoy abstraction and realism equally, and find the space within a dewdrop as wonderful as a whole expanse of landscape.”
In addition to taking photos with standard modern equipment, he did a botanical series using vintage lenses. These photos exude a special “softness and quietness” which he really likes.
Paul has many favorite places in south eastern and central Pennsylvania and other East Coast locations where he happily immerses himself in nature. He says the conversations he has with art collectors are what make being a full time artist so fulfilling.
His photography has won numerous awards and appeared in many calendars, magazines and coffee table books.
