Laura and Steve Gray use treasured family recipes to make freezer jam. Their family has been making freezer jam with produce from the family farm since the 1920’s. Friends have been telling them to sell their jam for years. After watching an episode of Shark Tank, they started talking seriously about starting a business and decided to go for it.
Freezer jam is entirely cold-processed with fresh fruit, pectin and a handful of other ingredients. These jams have less than half the sugar of most jams while still retaining all the natural fruit flavors. Icebox jam is so low sugar that Type 1 and 2 diabetics can enjoy it. A serving is rated 1 point in the Weight Watchers system.
Available in flavors like Apple Blackberry, Cranberry Orange, Cranberry Apple and Pumpkin Pie and a dozen other flavors, these jams work well on pancakes and waffles, mixed into cream cheese or yogurt, with ice cream and in salad dressings. They can also be used as a flavoring for water, tea or coffee. A spoonful of Pumpkin Pie jam stirred into a cup of coffee creates a fantastic latte!
