Sarah Glazer has explored many artistic avenues including greeting cards, illustrating children’s books, acrylic painting and finally textile design.
While attending a quilting convention some years ago, Sarah Glazer took a one-day class in dyeing and painting silk fabrics. Though she enjoyed the experience at the time, it didn’t immediately pull her in. She continued working as a graphic designer in the textile industry for some time.
It was only when life’s unexpected twists and turns found her living on a farm in Tennessee with some time on her hands that she pulled those silk paintings out again. She began tinkering with the starter kit she had bought at that convention long ago and soon realized she had found her true artistic medium.
