Jennifer Cherpock explored many artistic mediums before settling on pottery. After one wheel-throwing class she knew she had found the perfect avenue for her creative expression. She spent a few years learning from highly regarded potters and later moved to southern California to pursue independent work.
Eventually she returned to the East Coast and New Jersey where she teaches ceramics to children and adults. She came up with her own method of adding mineral color to the porcelain before creating a vessel which creates a marbled effect in the finished product. She also offers workshops in her own technique.
Her foremost goal with her work is to remind herself and others to slow down and feed our spirits and appreciate the natural energy of the earth. Her Painted Desert series is meant to inspire feelings of serenity and peace.
