Curtis Cecil first learned how to melt glass from a chemistry kit he received at the age of 12. As soon as he learned how to fuse things together, he became unstoppable and he continued making all sorts of glass animals and figurines.
He is a self-taught artist driven by his fascination with melted glass. In addition to glass figures, he makes perfume bottles, ornaments, marbles, woodland plants and animals, coral reefs, globes and other items.
After several decades working with fire, Curtis is still excited about the unlimited creative possibilities with fire and glass. He’s always excited to make something he’s never made before. So stop by during Sugarloaf Crafts Festival and propose your idea!
